The Project
This project was to upgrade the street lighting at Southfields roundabout, on the A303 near Ilminster.
The improvements included the renewal of lighting columns, lanterns, signage, cabling and ducting.
The majority of the work was successfully completed on the splitter islands and surrounding hatching, although to erect the new lighting columns safely it was necessary to close the A303 Ilminster Bypass for a number of nights. During the work we also carried out routine maintenance including grass cutting, white lining, sign cleaning & road stud renewal.
