The Project

The Highways Agency has completed work to repair damage to a section of the M6 viaduct where it crosses the A444 at Junction 3; part of the deck structure was damaged when it was struck by a high vehicle using the roundabout beneath the motorway.

As part of the same contract, the Highways Agency also undertook resurfacing works to the Northbound M6 entry slip road, whilst Warwickshire County Council carried out essential carriageway and resurfacing work on the A444 roundabout.

The project started on 3 August 2007 and was successfully completed on 18 September 2007.

This project demonstrated an excellent partnering relationship between the Highways Agency and Warwickshire County Council, with all work being carried out with the minimum inconvenience and disruption to road users.
