The Project
Resurfacing work on the A1 northbound carriageway between Markham Moor and Elkesley commenced on Saturday 1 September and was completed by Friday 14 September 2007.
In order to make maximum use of the traffic management, the A1 Twyford Bridge northbound entry/exit slip roads were also resurfaced to the junction with the B6387. This work was completed by Sunday 16 September.
The resurfacing work was necessary to maintain safety standards along this busy section of the A1.
