The Project
The Highways Agency are providing a safe means of travel between the villages of Dobwalls and Doublebois for pedestrians and cyclists.
The A38 in this location is a single carriageway, with hedges and embankments close to the road. The footpath cycleway will be located away from the road as much as possible, and will assist travel not only between the two villages but will also now provide the link to connect the industrial area at Doublebois to the town of Liskeard for pedestrians and cyclists.
Update
The trees and shrubs growing on the Cornish hedge have been cut down in preparation of the works. This has been done before the nesting season to prevent any loss of wildlife and the construction of the footpath started in early summer 2008.
