The Project

The existing cycleway/footway runs parallel with, and adjacent to the east side of the A38, at Station Road, Liskeard. Where Old Road passes underneath the A38, the cycle way/footway ramps down on both the south east and northwest approaches to cross it. On the south east side a set of 6 steps provides access to a ramp, and this impedes the safe passage of cyclists and mobility impaired  persons.

This scheme will improve cycle and pedestrian facilities on the south east side of Old Road and will replace the steps with a combination of 2m wide ramps on raised timber boardwalks and 2m wide ramps in cut sections supported by retaining walls.
