The Project

This section of the A30 to the west of Launceston was first constructed in 1989. By 2007 the surface was showing signs of fatigue and required replacement.

The westbound carriageway was resurfaced with low noise material.

The opportunity was also taken to upgrade the safety barrier, improve drainage from the road and the road signing.

Work started in early November 2007 and the roadworks were completed in December 2007.  A tree planting programme is in progress for completion by summer 2008.
