The Project
We have completed improvements to the A45/A509 Wilby Way Roundabout which is to the south of Wellingborough in Northamptonshire.
The aim of this scheme was to reduce congestion and accidents at the busy Wilby Way Roundabout by providing a segregated left turn lane for traffic on the A45 travelling west. Work started in August 2007 and was completed in mid December 2007.
The new segregated lane diverts westbound traffic on the A45 away from the Wilby Way Roundabout. Traffic rejoins the A45 westbound carriageway approximately 90 metres beyond the roundabout.
