The Project
This is a routine maintenance scheme to an overbridge, including the replacement of concrete deck slabs, re-waterproofing, resurfacing and replacement of joints together with the installation of drainage and vent holes in the structure.
The work will have minimal effect on traffic, with occasional lane closures of the M5 taking place overnight. A footpath which currently crosses the bridge has been temporarily closed for the safety of the public while work takes place.
The temporary closure of the footpath (ABA 121) has been made with the cooperation of Gloucestershire County Council. Any queries regarding footpaths should be directed to the Transport and Roads team at the Council.
The scheme commenced on Monday 5th November 2007 and will take approximately 14 weeks.
