The Project
This succesful project was completed on schedule by the end of March 2008. The scheme will be monitored to assess the impact of the improvements on accident statistics.
Where
We were working on the A46 at its junction with the A435 (Oversley Roundabout).
What were we doing
We carried out minor repairs to the carriageway and then laid high friction surfacing (anti-skid) on the roundabout and its departures and approaches. Once the high friction surfacing was laid we then laid improved roadmarkings on the carriageway to improve lane discipline.
Why did we need to do the work
The works were done to repair the existing road surface and to improve the safety of the roundabout.
