The Project
This essential maintenance project took place between May and December 2008. The renewal works included a complete reconstruction of the road surface, drainage improvements, and total replacement of the existing street lighting in order to provide a safer, more reliable surface for road users. New traffic signals were installed at the B4215 (Newent) junction, and also at crossing points to improve safety for right turning vehicles.
During the renewal work, a new bus lane was incorporated into the road layout eastbound, improving public transport links into Gloucester.
