The Project
Essential safety works on East Cliff Bridge on the A2 near Dover in Kent started on Sunday 6 January and are now completed.
The works were to replace the existing manhole covers on the bridge and make the road around them more stable which will provide a safer road surface for all road users.
For the safety of road users and the workforce there was a 24 hour lane one closure on the Londonbound carriageway across the bridge for the duration of the works.
