The Project
Works started early in February 2008 on the second phase of improvements to the A570 Ormskirk Road, between Scarth Hill and Stanley Gate. This included:
- Replacement of 50 lamp posts
- Improving illumination of the road but reducing light pollution
- Replacement of traffic signs and poles
- Reconstruction of the footpath including concrete curbs
The work was completed on 18th April 2008, a week ahead of schedule.
