Traffic Management
Traffic Management Bulletin - For the period from Friday 02 May 2008 to Friday 9 May 2008
The scheme is located on the M69 in Leicestershire and will affect both the north and southbound carriageways between Junction 1 and 2, and between M69 J2 and M1 J21. The works are expected to be complete by Friday 14 May 2008, however this date is provisional and may be subject to change depending on weather conditions etc.
The main works for the scheme commenced on the evening of Thursday 7 February 2008. To allow these works to be carried out safely phased traffic management including contra flow running, M69 J2 slip road closures, and lane closures shall be utilized. A 50mph speed limit will operate during the scheme, and signed diversion routes will be in place during periods of slip road closures. An emergency route will be available through the works at all times.
Below is an outline of traffic management arrangements for the period up to Friday 9th May. Subsequent traffic management bulletins shall be issued on a weekly basis.
Friday 2nd May - Saturday 3rd May
- Northbound carriageway closed. Northbound traffic running in 2+2 contraflow system on southbound carriageway.
Sunday 4th May - Monday 5th May
- Northbound Lane 3 closed, southbound Lanes 2/3 closed.
Tuesday 6th May - Wednesday 7th May
- Hardshoulder closures.
Friday 2nd May - Friday 9th May
- Likelihood of single lane night time running.
