The Project
This section of the A30 to the west of Launceston was first constructed in 1989. By 2008 the surface was showing signs of fatigue and required replacement. It was resurfaced with low noise material, and the opportunity was also taken to upgrade the safety barrier, improve drainage from the road and the road signing.
The first part of the scheme consisted of the eastbound carriageway between Bolventor and Five Lanes.
The second part involved the westbound carriageway between Kennards House and Plusha.
Update
The first section between Bolventor and Five Lanes was finished on time by Easter 2008. Work on the second section was completed in June 2008.
