The Project
The works are being carried out by a developer to facilitate a housing development, which is to be carried out at the north west of the junction, on Hunt Lane.
The works involve the installation of traffic signals and widening of the carriageway in order to provide right turn lanes. This will result in improved traffic flows athrough the junction, safer right turn facilities and better provision for pedestrians and cyclists wishing to cross the road at this location.
Works are programmed to get underway during June 2008.
Traffic Management

Works will take place between the hours of 10:00 and 16:00. During the works, there will be periods where left and right turn movements into Hunt Lane will be banned. During such times, traffic will be diverted via Middleton Road, Peel Street and Stockfield Road.
