The Project

The trial aimed to reduce queuing traffic from the main carriageway of the M25 on the approach to the exit slip at Junction 9 anticlockwise.

This trial for Part Time Traffic Signals at the junction of the exit slip and the  roundabout was carried out from 19 May for four weeks and operated between 06.30am and 09.30am Monday to Friday only.

The trial has now been removed whilst the Highways Agency and Surrey County Council analyse the CCTV and traffic count data produced before and during the trial.

If the results are favorable the Highways Agency and Surrey County Council will work together to install a permanent part-time traffic control system solution.
