The Project
Essential maintenance work to provide secondary fixings to the existing fascia panels of the retaining wall and four bridges situated at this interchange was completed on the 12 July 2008.
All work was carried out overnight when the traffic was less busy, to limit delays to road users. Short local diversion routes were in place for each of the 5 phases of work.
The work started on the 23 June 2008 and was completed two weeks ahead of programme.
The new fixings will safeguard the integrity of the panels, thereby providing a safer environment for road users.
