The Project

Essential safety work on six bridges on the A21 near Tonbridge in Kent has now been completed.

The parapets of each bridge were replaced to enhance their structure and protect road users in the event of a collision.

The work took place in two phases:

Phase 1 of the work was on Vauxhall Lane bridge with Phase 2 of the work taking place at Lower Street, Leigh Road, Powder Mill Road, Lower Haysden Lane and Upper Haysden Lane bridges
