Updates
Update - October 2008
Traffic has been using the new section of carriageway since the beginning of September and the temporary 40mph speed limit has been lifted.
The new Junction 49 at Tot Hill is open for local access only.
The old westbound carriageway is now being converted into a two-way local road and the old eastbound carriageway into a facility for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
Works to the local road network will be continuing so traffic management and temporary diversions will continue on these roads. The scheme is still on target to complete by the end of 2008.
