13/10/2011 - Advanced works on Elveden Estate
Work to upgrade the track network used for farming operations on the Elveden Estate will begin next week, as part of preparatory works for the A11 Fiveways to Thetford improvement scheme. The track improvements are needed to cater for the increase in journeys by heavy farming vehicles once the estate's access to and from the A11 is changed as part of the main construction work. Bringing this advance work forward will ensure any potential disruption for the Elveden Estate is kept to an absolute minimum.
Work on the Elveden Estate is expected to finish in March 2012. Main construction is still scheduled to start in 2012/13, the exact date is yet to be determined.
