Progress

All works are on programme. The central reservation works have now been completed and the narrow lane traffic management system was re-configured on 7th / 8th June 2008 to allow construction works to the verges to proceed.

Construction works continue in both verges and have progressed well during the summer despite some adverse weather and earthworks and retaining walls are complete. Underground drainage work is nearing completion and interceptors have been installed at the outfalls to minimise the risk of pollution to the receiving watercourses. Six gantries have been erected to date with the remaining one to be erected on the 4th November. Construction of concrete drainage channels and road construction (blacktop) have now commenced and signs are being installed on the gantries. Guided auger boring beneath the carriageway for the communications ducting has been completed and longitudinal ducting is nearing completion with cabling started in the week commencing the 27th October.
