The Project

The A30 London Road, Long Lane traffic signal scheme has been designed to improve the existing pedestrian facilities bringing them up to the current standards which includes providing dropped kerbs and tactile paving slabs for visually impaired pedestrians. The scheme also replaces aging equipment such as traffic signal poles and signal heads.

Carrying out this work has enabled us to achieve a positive environmental benefit by replacing the inefficient signal lamps with new low energy lamps, so reducing the amount of energy the site uses on a day to day basis. This will help to reduce the cost of running the site as well as reducing the carbon footprint.
