M4 Leckhampstead
M4 Leckhampstead
The Project
The Highways Agency has successfully completed maintenance works to the eastbound carriageway of the M4 near Leckhampstead. This commenced in September 2008 and was completed in January 2009.
The scheme was undertaken to repair 4.2km of the M4, in lanes one, two and three as well as the hard shoulder of the eastbound carriageway, just to the west of Junction 13 (Chieveley).
The work will extend the life of the carriageway, providing a durable and reliable road surface for the future. Now complete, road users will enjoy an improved carriageway resulting in a quieter smoother ride.
