On 20th October 2010, as part of the announcements regarding the Government's Comprehensive Spending Review, it was confirmed that funding would be made available to construct the A11 Fiveways to Thetford Improvement during the period 2010/11 and 2014/15.
It was announced on 12 April 2011 that the Highways Agency will start work on the A11 Fiveways to Thetford Improvement in 2012/13.
