The Project
The Queensway Interchange Bridges are located to the south of Stoke-on-Trent and link the A50 to the A500. Work involves remedial painting of the existing bridge beams and bearings, and is essential to safeguard the structural integrity of the steelwork spanning the A500.
This scheme is currently on hold for technical and commercial reasons. A revised time frame for these works will be posted when available.
Traffic Management
When work starts, a series of temporary over-night closures on the A500 northbound and southbound carriageways will be necessary to complete the work safely. Night time closures will be utilised in order to aid safety, reduce congestion and minimise delays to road users.
