The Project
Work was carried out on the M62 between junctions 21 and 22, at Rakewood Viaduct approx 3.1km east of junction 21.
The work involved the replacement of bridge joints, surfacing over the bridge, resurfacing of the westbound hard shoulder, upgrading up the central reserve switch crossings, relocation of the central reserve lighting to the verge and installation of new safety barrier.
Works were completed in December 2009.
