The Project
The A1 dual carriageway between Little Ponton and the new Colsterworth Grade Separated Junction has a large number of central reserve gaps which are associated with at grade junctions, private premises or agricultural sites.
We were proposing to implement the closure of three at grade central reserve gaps between Colsterworth and Little Ponton, and carried out a road safety audit before we started the scheme.
The audit indicated that further work was needed before we could safely close the three gaps between Colsterworth and Little Ponton. This additional work would result in an increased scheme cost, therefore the scheme has been put on hold until we are able to secure the additional funding.
