The Project

Work started on Monday 28th September 2009 on Lodge Lane Viaduct and Lowton Railway Bridge, on the M6 between junctions 22 and 23.

On Lowton Railway Bridge the bridge parapets were replaced and new safety barriers were installed.  Work was completed in March 2010.

On Lodge Lane Viaduct, the waterproofing has been replaced on the north and southbound carriageways. Work was completed in August 2010.
