The Project
Routine maintenance works in Roundhill Tunnel on the A20 near Folkestone, Kent take place throughout the year to carry out cleaning and safety inspections.
All closures are to be carried out between 20.00hrs and 06.00hrs.
For all closures traffic will be diverted via the A259 and the A260. The programme is subject to change based on circumstances prevailing at the time of the works. Additional closures may become necessary at times during the year and these will be updated on this page.
Programme details for 2012 are as follows:
February:
- Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 (westbound)
- Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 (eastbound)
April/May:
- Monday 30 and Tuesday 1 (westbound)
- Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 (eastbound)
July:
- Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 (westbound)
- Wednesday 4 and Thursday 5 (eastbound)
October:
- Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 (westbound)
- Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 (eastbound)
