The Project Control Framework

The Project
Work comprised of installing a new verge safety barrier, resurfacing the carriageway and repair on five bridges between Knuzden Brook and Dunkenhalgh Park (between junctions 6 and 7) near Accrington. Works started on 11th January 2010 and was completed on the 31st May 2010.
The work will improve safety, provide a better driving environment and extend the life of the bridges.
