The Project
The need for cameras in Area 6 had been identified, but the high cost of conventional high quality transmission options was found not to be cost effective. Investigation into other options confirmed that improvements in the GSM service now made this a viable option. This scheme installed 24 GSM cameras in Area 6 and the associated instation within the RCCE which is fully intergrated to the standard HA CCTV system.
GSM camera system provides low quality images but which are stuitable for the monitoring of traffic conditions. This system is fully intergrated into the standard HA camera system which means all existing 3rd party user will have access to the new GSM cameras.
Works are now substantially completed with all CCTV cameras installed and working.
