The Project
Work to extend the existing noise barrier alongside the M20 junction 5 across Hall Road overbridge in Aylesford was due to start on Friday 12 February 2010. During preparation works, various design issues arose which resulted in the works being postponed before the new barrier could be installed across the overbridge.
The issues were resolved and work started on Monday 12 April 2010 and finished on Friday 14 May. The existing noise barrier was extended across Hall Road overbridge on the Londonbound and coastbound carriageway. This created a solid barrier to reduce noise levels for local residents living adjacent to the motorway.
