The Project

This scheme, which begain in April 2005 and was completed in May 2005, involved the construction of swales (grassed depressions which direct the flow of surface water) to treat water running off the M5 motorway before it discharges into the local watercourses, and containment facilities to help reduce the risk of pollution of the watercourses in the event of a major spillage.
