| July 2002 | Route Seminars - The Highways Agency will be inviting a wide range of outside organisations, local transport and public groups and other interested parties, to contribute to the Strategy at a seminar to be held in autumn of this year. The wider public will also have the opportunity to comment as part of the overall process. |
| September 2002 and October 2002 | Value Management Workshops - The purpose of the Workshops will be to: develop the general form of the Strategy identify the best ideas for future action determine the form of consultation (Attendance at the workshops will be limited to a small number of key stakeholders) |
| January 2003 | Consultation - The wider public have the opportunity to comment as part of the overall process |
| Spring 2003 | Publish Strategy - Ten year programme for managing the route. |
