Route Description
M5 (J9 to 15)
Route description
The M5 Gloucestershire RMS considers the M5 motorway, from south of Junction 9 of the M5 near Tewkesbury to north of Junction 15 near Bristol, forming the main artery between the West Midlands and the South West.
The length of the route is 40mile (60Km). The entire route is of motorway standard with dual three lanes throughout. The M5 route passes through Gloucestershire and to the north of South Gloucester and is predominantly a rural motorway. The majority of the motorway is rural apart from a short section passing between Gloucester and Cheltenham to the south of M40 between Junction 11A and 12.
