Oxfordshire County Council Roadworks 2005
Oxfordshire County Council is undertaking the following major works during 2005 and 2006:
- B480 - Enhancing and reconstruction of Cowley Road - Ongoing to August 2005
- A4144 - Reconstruction of Abingdon Road - Ongoing to November 2005
- A40 - Reconstruction of Oxford northern by-pass
- Northbound carriageway - June to August 2005
- Southbound carriageway - January to April 2006
- A40 - Reconstruction at Green Road roundabout - April 2006 to October 2006
- A420 - Reconstruction of Oxford High Street - January to April 2006
The works have been co-ordinated with the Highways Agency to ensure minimal disruption, for example, the A40 northern by-pass scheme has been split into two phases to ensure it fits around the A34 project. The A420 works are not planned to start until after the A34 scheme has been completed.
