About the Project Team

A number of organisations are collaborating on these works.

The Highways Agency is an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport (DfT), and is responsible for operating, maintaining and improving the strategic road network in England on behalf of the Secretary of State for Transport. This road network includes the A34 and M40.

Mott MacDonald is the Managing Agent for the Highways Agency's Area 3 network of motorways and trunk roads in central southern England. This includes the A34 and the M40 junction 9 roundabout. Mott MacDonald is designing this improvement scheme on behalf of the Highways Agency through this contract.

Oxfordshire County Council are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the local roads in Oxfordshire.
