M4 Junction 10 Major Maintenance Scheme
Traffic management
In order to minimise disruption, the majority of works will be undertaken at night. This will involve overnight closures of link roads with temporary diversions put in place, which will be well-signed in advance.
In addition, a maximum of eight road closures will be required during the works. They will run for 3 days at a time and will be undertaken from 10am on Thursdays until 4pm on Sundays. The timings have been carefully chosen to ensure that work doesn t run into Monday morning which would, naturally, have the greatest impact to motorists.
These closures are necessary because the works include the full replacement of cracked concrete slabs and enough time needs to be allowed to harden. Diversion routes will include using the A329M but in some instances traffic may be diverted to the M4, J11, J8 and J9.
