The Project

The junction was closed on 23 December 2004 and work recommenced on 5 January 2005 to make the necessary road alterations to permanently affect that closure.

Brentwood Borough Council have made the necessary directional signing changes to those signs on the local network in and around Fryerning so that local traffic is not directed down Little Hyde Lane to the A12.

There remains some grass seeding to be completed around the new turning head at the bottom of Little Hyde Lane, adjacent to the A12 and this will be undertaken during the spring planting season at the end of March/beginning of April.

We are currently considering some additional planting within the trunk road boundary at this location to be undertaken with the A12 Ingatestone major maintenance scheme currently planned for autumn 2005.
