Route Description
A43/A45 (M40 Bicester to A14 Thrapston)
Route description
This particular RMS will be concentrating on the 47-mile stretch of the A43 and A45 trunk roads between the M40 and the A14. The A43 section of the route runs between Junction 10 on the M40 and Junction 15a on the M1, a distance of approximately 22 miles, passing the major towns of Brackley and Towcester and also the Silverstone Motor Racing Track, "the home of the British Grand Prix".
The A45 section of the route runs between Junction 15 on the M1 and Junction 13 on the A14, a distance of approximately 25 miles, passing the major towns of Northampton, Wellingborough and Rushden. The route is predominately dual carriageway with approximately 20% of its length single carriageway, between Stanwick and Thrapston, immediately prior to Junction 13 on the A14.
