The Project
Work was undertaken on a 4.1km section of the A449 from Caunsall Cross roads in the south to the start of the dual carriageway at Dunsley and completed on 12 August 2005. The existing carriageway was planed out and resurfaced and existing kerbs were replaced. Where necessary the drainage system was improved.
The A449 now has a safer road surface brought up to modern standards.
