The Project
Over the years water and de-icing salts have leaked from the deck joints onto the crossbeams. This has reduced the overall strength of the viaduct.
As part of the Highways Agencys ongoing maintenance and repair programme we will repair twenty reinforced concrete substructures with replacement concrete and install a cathodic protection system which prevents further corrosion.
