The Project
Installation of new high containment vehicle barriers within the hard shoulders to protect the bridge parapets from vehicle collisions, and replacement of the central reserve concrete slabs began late November 2005 and was completed by mid March 2006.
The new steel barriers and concrete slabs provide greater protection to the bridge and the railway line below from vehicle impacts and this means improved safety for road users.
