The Project
The works to this junction under this project have now been completed.
Work was undertaken in order to increase vehicle capacity at the junction, and to reduce peak-time traffic queues. The works involved:
- Widening of the carriageway and provided an additional traffic lane on the roundabout, including the building of an additional bridge on the north section of the island;
- Widening of the entry roads;
- Additional traffic signals was installed to improve traffic flow; and
- Additional lighting and signing
