The Project
New traffic calming measures to improve safety on the A259 through the village of East Guldeford are starting on Monday 26 September and will be completed by Friday 30 September.
Work will be done overnight between 7.30pm and 5.00am, Monday to Saturday on a 0.6mile (0.9km) section of the A259. These works include refreshing road markings and applying anti-skid surfaces, and will benefit drivers using the road and improve safety for people living close to it.
For the safety of road users and the workforce during the works, this section of the A259 will have a temporary 30mph speed restriction in place. Traffic will be escorted through the works in convoy (10mph), where width restrictions apply.
