The Project
The A259, through the village of Brookland in Kent has benefited from new traffic calming measures, to help reduce traffic speed and improve safety both for road users and pedestrians.
The work started on Monday 19 September, lasted for 5 days.
New traffic safety features, such as laying high friction surfacing, refreshing carriageway lining and markings as well as new signing were put in place on the 1.4 mile (2.2km) section of the road.
There is also a new permanent speed limit of 50 mph which has been reduced from 60mph through Brooklands village to help improve safety.
