The Project
The Highways Agency is supporting the development works of a new business site on the A21, near to Tunbridge Wells, Kent next to the Blue Boys Public House by building a new roundabout. The work to construct the roundabout will start on Monday 19 September 2005.
As well as constructing a roundabout, there will be new signing and street lighting put in place. The works are due to be completed on 20 January 2006.
Once completed, this new roundabout will allow drivers to gain access to the new hotel and service station from the A21.
Initial drainage works will be carried out by Mid Kent water from mid August and are due to be completed in three weeks.
During the work, temporary traffic signals will be in operation, along with a reduced speed limit of 40mph. Drivers may be escorted through the works in convoy when carriageway width restrictions are necessary.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
