The Project
This scheme upgraded the section of the A43 from the junction with the M40 and the junction with the B4031 in order to meet predicted traffic flows.
The section of the A43 under construction formed part of a strategic north-south route consisting essentially of the A33, A34 and A43, A43 links the major south coast ports of Southhampton and Portsmouth with the M1 and thereby the North.
