Route description
The M61 forms part of the Trans-European Road Network, linking the M60 Manchester Outer Ring Road and M62 at Junction 15 with the M6 at Junction 30 near Preston, providing an important strategic connection between the main north-south and west-east motorways in the North West. The route is mainly of dual 3 lane standard.
