Route Description

M67/A628/A616 (Manchester to M1)

Route description

The route provides an important direct east-west trans-Pennine link between the cities of Manchester and Sheffield, and connects the South Yorkshire Region with the North West. It is therefore important for the movement of freight and commuters. It also serves very local needs, linking towns and villages along the route, with some individual properties fronting and having direct access on to the carriageway.

No further information on this scheme, due to development of the Regional Network Reports.
